/ Working philosophy

I strive to find the beauty in my subject, and bring it to life

I am a self-taught artist painting in acrylics. I started painting when I wanted original art in my home but couldn't find or afford what I wanted, so bought some materials and fell in love with the creative process. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing an idea come to life.

I work on the philosophy that a painting isn't finished until I would be happy to hang it on my own wall. I aim for calm, beautiful and balanced.

I love using vibrant colours and light to create my interpretation of my subjects, and try to create work that is both visually interesting and lasting. I don't follow trends.

Layer upon layer

Each layer is applied wet and thin so the color beneath remains visible. Depth accumulates the way atmosphere does — gradually, without a single moment of arrival.

These paintings are made for collectors who want art to enhance their room — not to overwhelm it. The work asks for contemplative attention, not interpretation.
